Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Emotional and Mindless Eating After Bariatric Surgery: a Prospective Exploratory Cohort Study

We aimed to assess the effect of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) on emotional and mindless eating and, consequently, Body Mass Index (BMI) loss, in patients who have undergone bariatric surgery.

We found that DBT skills training can reduce emotional eating, increase mindful eating, and facilitate weight loss after bariatric surgery.
